Chris Askwith Devil Set

Askwith Devil Set is my name for these pipes. Chris made them, but he didn't mention "Devil" except for the small "Devil Anse" pipe. It was the 1st in the set and then I got the idea for a long version. Chris was game to make it and I liked it so much I asked him to make me one with a stacked billiard type bowl. I just got that yesterday and I love it! All 3 are great smokers and lovely pipes. Chris has become a really good pipe maker in a very short time. Check out his website. -T

Holiday Pipe Racks

I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but we here at Two Cousins have to think ahead. Here are some new Christmas pipe racks heading to Smokingpipes.com. They should be there by the first of next week, just in time for holiday orders.

The Wedding Table

Mark recently completed a commission from a young couple for a Wedding Table. The wedding was to be held out of doors and the table would be used for the wedding feast. They planned to have all the guests sign the bottom and then use the table for their dining room in their new home. Cool idea and Mark certainly did them justice w/ the table he built. Very nice! -T

A Funny Thing

We seem to get pipe rack orders in bunches of the same style or size. These are going to 3 different places around the world, but they are similar and ordered within a couple of days of each other. A little odd. -T

Annual End of October Camping pt.1

Mark, Joe and I made the pilgrimage to Tishomingo State Park. 2 nights of fun and pipes. This year we were also treated to the Dulcimer Festival in the park. All in all a very good time.

Tardis Pipe Cabinet

Mark made this amazing replica of the Tardis time-space travel ... police callbox thing from Dr. Who. He (we) didn't know much about Dr. Who but someone commissioned this and Mark went to work researching and designing. What he came up with is spectacular. Even if you are not a Dr. Who devotee, I think you would find this to be maybe the coolest pipe rack you've ever seen. -T

New Stuff Soon!

I have several things I want to mention on the blog and will soon. Mark has made some really cool pipe racks recently and I will get those on here asap. In the mean time here is a really innovative bulldog from Gregor Lobnik. It is unfortunately not mine, but is for sale at ScanPipes. Gregor is doing some fantastic work these days. -T

Mark and I were fortunate to have his 2 sons-in-law accompany us to the Chicago show. Adam and Joe are both great guys and a real pleasure to travel with. They are funny, witty and a lot of fun. I was a little worried that the show or Mark and I might be too boring for them, but they seemed to have a good time. They say they want to go again. I hope they will. -T

Back from Chicago

It's very good to be home! We arrived here late yesterday afternoon and we were all dog tired, but it was worth it. Chicago is exhausting, but wonderful, magical and full of a sense of camaraderie that isn't found just anywhere. Here's a few photos. More to follow. -T

A Bigger Darjeeling Cabinet

This was a commission where the customer asked for a larger version of the Darjeeling. He also said he had 4 bent pipes that he wanted to make sure would fit in the rack. Most bents will easily fit in our racks, but this gave me an opportunity to try something different ...so I did. Below is a detail of the bottom row of the cabinet. -T
