Vollmer & Nilsson

We made it back from Chicago! We had a great time despite the police presence and a smoking ban on the show. I'll write more about our Chicago Experience after Mark and I have a chance to get together and come up w/ some semi-coherent thoughts.
But 1st, let me show off my 3 (yes, I'm a glutton) new Vollmer & Nilsson pipes that I picked up at the show. Mark bought 2 and for once I think he has to agree I am right about something- V&N make great smoking pipes! I can't say enough about how good their pipes smoke. And they are beautiful. The brothers have an eye for detail. Beveled rims and wonderful silver work. These guys know their business. I have several pipes that cost twice as much- even a few that cost 3 times as much, but they are not engineered any better than my Vollmer & Nilssons (I have 6 now and they are all great- no bad apples). If you want my opinion ( and my opinion of you is slightly lowered if you do), every pipe smoker should own at least one V&N pipe. -T

Chicago! Chicago! Chicago!

The Chicago Pipe Show is about the only thing on our minds right now. OK, there's family and stuff, but for the next 2 weeks we are all about Chicago!
Here's what Mark will be bringing. If you attend the show (and you should!) please come by our table and take a look.

Chicago or Bust!

We're getting excited! That's really an understatement. This is like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and a boatload of Pilgrims combined!
We may have time to make one or two more racks, but it's about down to packing and loading.
Yeeha! Chicago here we come!

Here's a sample of what I'll be bringing. I hope we can get a photo of Mark's stuff in a day or two. -T

Seth's Collector Tower

Only 12 inches wide and 32 inches tall, this cabinet was built for a customer that had a particular space in mind and sent ideas and dimensions. He had been looking at the Elliot's Collector Cabinet on our website but had to have some changes. -M

Final Four Bound!

I can't begin to say enough about the University of Memphis' basketball team! These guys are great- Chris Douglas-Roberts, Derrick Rose Antonio Anderson, Joey Dorsey, Robert Dozier,Willie Kemp, Andre Allen, Sean Taggert, Doneal Mack -all of them! I've been watching the Tigers play since I was a kid - almost 40 years now and I have never seen a better team. UCLA next and I think everyone in Memphis is happy with this match up. Should be a heck of a game! -T

Jack Howell Nosewarmer!

I am down right thrilled with my new Jack Howell pipe. I can't say enough good things about it. It smokes great, it feels great and I love the way it looks! Only 5 inches long  but with a large bowl, it fits in my pocket and provides a long smoke. If you haven't jumped on the Howell train yet, I'd say do it soon before everyone realizes just how good Jack's pipes are and he ups the price! -T
